LATHAM -- Aviators from Army Aviation Support Facilities (AASF) 1, Ronkonkoma and 3, Latham conduct joint AASF rescue hoist operation training in an effort to qualify aircrews on aerial hoist operations to increase avaition facility response to domestic response needs that require a rescue hoist. Training was conducted by members from AASF 2, Rochester.
The initial training was with a dummy load, and live loads being conducted in the afternoon and later that night using Night Vision Goggles.
