NEW YORK CITY-- A member of the New York National Guard’s 24th Civil Support Team boards the State University of New York Maritime Academy’s training vessel Empire State from New York Naval Militia Patrol Boat PB 400 during a training exercise on Tuesday, Sept. 28.
The members of the Civil Support Team, or CST, are trained to identify the presence of chemical, radiological, or biological weapons or materials.
The exercise tested the ability of the CST to work with the Naval Militia and accomplish a mission on the New York City Waterfront.
