South African Military Stakes Team Places 5th

Potchefstroom,South Africa--Five members of the New York National Guard’s Company C 2nd Battalion 108th Infantry, who represented the United States Army at the South African National Military Skills Competition here pose with South African Col William Alberts, (center) the director of the event. The New York Soldiers are (from left) Sgt . David Hansen, from Melrose, NY;Staff Sgt Jeffery Dorvee from Queensbury, NY; Pvt. 1st Class Michael Ellsworth, from Hudson Falls, NY; Sgt 1st Class Troy Mechanick from Hudson Falls, NY; and Sgt. 1st Class Miguel Orabona from Ballston Lake, NY.
The Americans finished in 5th place out of 22 teams at the annual event.
