WESTHAMPTON BEACH-- Fog envelops the tarmac at Francis S. Gabreski Airport, the home of the New York Air National Guard’s 106th Rescue Wing, on Wednesday Feb. 2.
While the Hudson Valley and Upstate New York got hit with snow and sleet, warmer temperatures converted snowfall into fog on Long Island, where the wing is located.
The 106th Rescue Wing operates HC-130 search and rescue aircraft and HH-60 Pavehawk rescue helicopters.
