FRANKFORT, KY-- A CH-47 belonging to the New York Army National Guard’s B Company, 3rd Battalion 126th Aviation, is seen between the blades of a UH-60 assigned to the Kentucky Army National Guard at the flight facility on Jan. 27.
The New York helicopter was in Kentucky so that three Kentucky aviators assigned to the Chemical Biological Radiological and High-Yield Explosive Consequence Management Response Force can maintain their proficiency at flying the heavy lift helicopter.
This is a great partnership, said Capt. Eric Fritz, commander of 1st Detachment, Bravo Co., 3rd Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment, New York National Guard. We enjoy coming down to Kentucky to train with these guys, especially in the colder months.
