JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA--BOLLING, Maryland--Major General Patrick Murphy, the Adjutant General of New York administers the oath of enlistment to the newest members of the New York Air National Guard during a ceremony held at the all ranks club here on Tuesday, March 8.
Twenty Airmen who serve as part of the Joint Air Defense Operations Center here, took the oath as the members of the former 24th Expeditionary Air Defense Squadron became part of Detachments 1 and 2 of the Rome, NY-based Eastern Air Defense Sector. The Eastern Air Defense Sector is a New York Air National Guard organization responsible for air defense of the United States east of the Mississippi.
