Hockey Raises Money for Military Families

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY-- New York Air National Guard Col. Jim McCready, commander of the 107th Airlift Wing, drops the puck to start a charity hockey game between members of the 107th Airlift Wing and the United States Air Force Reserve’s 914th Airlift and alumni of the Buffalo Sabers professional hockey team on Sunday, April 10 at Dwyer Arena here. On the left is Danny Gare a Buffalo Sabres Alumni, while on the right is 914th maintenance technican John Rettig. More than 400 spectators crowded into the arena and $5000 from the ticket sales benefited the family support groups of both units.
