COLONIE - New York Air National Guard Master Sgt. Shannon Pingatore from Fort Edward, N.Y. approaches the finish line at the New York National Guard’s Family Readiness Council "Hometown Heroes" five-kilomter run here June 12.
More than 220 runners participated in the race, a fundraiser to support National Guard families.
Pingatore is a runner with the New York National Guard’s Marathon Team, racing with the National Guard throughout the year. This is her second year competing and her second win in the female runner’s category. Photo by Sgt. Chris Connelly, 42nd Infantry Division.
