Air Force, Air Guard Security Troops at Camp Smith

CAMP SMITH TRAINING CENTER, Cortlandt Manor-- New York Air National Guard Staff Sgt. Calvin Hicklin, a 105th Security Forces Squadron fire team leader, leads a foot patrol around the training site in search for improvise explosive devices at Camp Smith, N.Y., Oct. 27, 2011. The Active Air Force 823rd Base Defense Squadron, based at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. and the 105th Security Forces Squadron, a part of the 105th Airlift Wing were integrated together to standardize training between the two squadrons. The 105th Security Forces Squadron deploys Airmen in support of the 823rd when that Active Air Force element sends troops overseas.
