RONKONKOMA -- The leadership of Company B, 642nd Aviation Support Battalion held a change of command ceremony on Apr. 15 at Army Aviation Support Facility located in Ronkonkoma. During the ceremony, 642nd commander Lt. Col. Jack James, who recently took command of the 642nd, was on hand to pass the Co. B colors between out-going commander Maj. Jason Lefton (at left) and in-coming commander, Maj. Shawn Hatch. 1st Sgt. Michael Burrow (at right) received the colors for safe keeping at the end of the ceremony. The 642nd is the aviation support unit for the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade.
