New Yorkers Compete in Best Warrior Contest

CAMP SMITH, NY-- New York Army National Guard Specialist Brian Lekhmus, from Salt Point, NY; and Sgt. David Martinson, from Albany, take a break on May 16 while competing in the Northeast Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition being held at Camp Smith Training Site May 15-17. The competition pits top non-commissioned officers and junior enlisted Soldiers from New England, New York and New Jersey against each other to determine who will represent the region in a national competition. The Soldiers were tested on military knowledge, physical fitness, marksmanship, land navigation, and Soldier tasks.
