Fuel Operations Critical to New York City

FLOYD BENNET FIELD, Queens-- New York Army National Guard logistics experts speak with New York City Office of Emergency Management officials at the Logistical Support Area established here on Tuesday, Nov. 5, as a FEMA tanker tops off a Guard fueler that will go on to fuel city and other government vehicles as the region recovers from Hurricane Sandy . On Nov. 5 Guard units pumped 20,000 gallons of fuel into 1750 government vehicles.
