Civilian Employee Earns Adjutant General's Award

LATHAM-- Major General Patrick Murphy, the Adjutant General of New York, presents Division of Military and Naval Affairs employee Folena Schumaker with the Adjutant General's Award during the headquarters National Guard Birthday Celebration on Dec. 13. Schumaker, an employee since 2007, is responsible for ensuring that the State Active Duty pay for Soldiers and Airmen is properly calculated in a timely manner. She has "risen to the occasion in many state emergencies that DMNA participated in and goes even further to ensure the jobs gets done," her citation says.
