Airmen Prepare for Storm Response Mission

STEWART AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- Airmen of the 105th Airlift Wing check-in at the deployment processing station during an initial winter storm response here March 18, 2013.The 20 Airmen will stand by with five humvees to assist local governments in the Hudson Valley if needed when a snowstorm exected on March 18/19, Develops. Other New York National Guard Immediate Response Forces were stood up on Long Island at Gabreski Air National Guard Base and the Farmingdale Armed Forces Reserve Center as well as at Camp Smith Training Site at the direction of the governor.
