ALBANY--Members of the New York National Guard Counterdrug Task Force pose with members of community anti-drug coalition groups at the conclusion of week-long training session conduction at Division of Military and Naval Affairs headquarters on March 7.
The Soldiers and Airmen are part of a 14-member Civil Operations team tasked to work with community anti-drug programs to help them function more affectively. The training was conducted by Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America, a group established in 1992.
The training focused conducting community assessments, collecting data and conducting problem analysis. The training is designed to help both military personnel and civilian anti-drug group employees determine the root causes of substance abuse in communities.The training covered the first week of the three week CADCA National Academy program. The training was sponsored by the New York State Office of Alcholism and Substance abuse services.
