LATHAM, N.Y. - New York Army National Guard aircrews of the 3rd Battalion, 142nd Aviation depart here Sep. 25 from the National Guard Army Aviation Flight Facility. Ten aircraft deployed to Fort Hood, Texas, as part of the mobilization of the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade, scheduled for a Kuwait deployment at the end of the year. The unit will serve one year on active duty, with about nine months in Kuwait.
