Soldiers Donate Time to Trees for Troops

BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. -- New York Army National Guard volunteers from the Army Aviation Support Facility in Latham N.Y. volunteer their time to assist Chip Ellms load Christmas Trees here at Ellms Christmas Tree Farm Dec. 1. More than a dozen Soldiers volunteered to assist in the 9th annual "Trees for Troops" loading of about 150 donated trees bound for military installations and families around the country and the globe. The Soldiers volunteered their support as fellow members of the New York Army National Guard’s 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade and its subordinate units deploy this week for duties in Kuwait.
