CAMP BUEHRING, KUWAIT-- New York Army National Guard Lt. Col. Jack James, the commander of the 642nd Aviation Support Battalion and Battalion Command Sgt. Major Mark Wilson raise the New York state flag above the battalions headquarters here on Saturday, Dec. 14 as the battalion assumed its duties providing support to the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade elements here. The Soldiers, based in Farmingdale, Dunkirk, and Rochester will be stationed in Kuwait for approximately nine months.
