STRATTON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Scotia-- U.S. Senator Charles Schumer inspects and LC-130 "Ski Bird" aircraft flown by the New York Air National Guard's 109th Airlift Wing during a visit to the base on Friday, Jan. 3. Col. Shawn Clouthier, the wing commander, provided the Senator with a tour of the aircraft and then presented a briefing on the wing's mission of support for National Science Foundation research in Antarctica and Greenland.
