New York Aviators Train with Marines

CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait--Marines from the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit board a UH-60 Blackhawk operated by the New York Army National Guard's A Company, 3rd Battalion, 142nd Attack Helicopter Company, 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade, on Jan. 20, 2013, near Camp Buehring, Kuwait. The Marines practiced conducting an air assault and clearing an enemy-held village as part of the joint training exercise.The 42nd CAB, New York Army National Guard, operates rotary winged aircraft in the region in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and regularly trains with other U.S. military branches to enhance joint service capabilities.
