Matthew Mortensen, a native of Huntingdon Station, N.Y. and a member of the 1156th Engineer Company prepares to head down the luge run during the 2013 World Cup Competition here on Dec. 10, 2013. Mortensen, who participates in the Army's World Class Athlete Program, will represent the United States in his sport during the 2014 Winter Games in Russia in February.
