ROME-- New York Air National Guard Commander Maj. Gen. Verle Johnston hands the guidon of the 224th Air Defense Group to Col. Wade Dewey, the Title 32 Commander at the Eastern Air Defense Sector during ceremonies here on Jan. 10. Dewey assumed command of the newly-activated 224th Air Defense Group as the Easter Air Defense Sector reorganized its structure.
