MCMURDO STATION, Antarctica-- New York Air National Guard Tech. Sgt. Jonathan Peck, a member of the 109th Airlift Wing, runs the annual McMurdo Marathon in Antarctica on Jan. 11, 2015. He and Master Sgt. Michael Lazzari, also a 109th Airlift Wing member both ran the 26.2-mile course -- a feat few in the world can say they accomplished. The wing rotates Airmen and ski-eqipped LC-130 planes into and out of the United States McMurdo Station to support Antarctic research duiing the Antarctic summer from the wing's home at Stratton Air Natinal Guard Base in Scotia.
