NEW YORK- New York Army National Guard Spc. Michael John ( left)a member of the 1st Battalion 69th Infantry, joined Army Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno (center), and Staff Sgt. Edimael Aponte in cutting the Army Birthday Cake in Times Square on Friday, June 12. John was the youngest Soldier present for the traditional cake cutting. Soldiers from the 1-69th took part in the event, which marked the Army's 240th year.
