1st Bn 69th Inf. Command Sgt. Major Retires

CAMP SMITH--New York Army National Guard Command Sgt. Major James Meltz (left) and Lt. Col. Meltz, a New York State Trooper in civilian life, received the Bronze Star with V for valor following an Afghan deployment in 2008 as first sergeant of D Co. 2nd Battalion 108th Infantry.
