FORT DRUM--A Soldier in the New York Army National Guard's 2nd Battalion 108th Infantry takes up a defensive position during air assault operations carried out in conjunction with the 3rd Battalion 142nd Aviation on Friday, May 20 at Fort Drum, N.Y. as part of a four day training exercise conducted by the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. The brigade is training for a deployment to the Joint Readiness Training Center in July.
