LATHAM--New York Army National Guard Chief Warrant Officer 4 Jeffery Schirmer accepts a saber signifying his responsibilities as the Command Chief Warrant Officer of the New York Army National Guard from Major General Anthony German, the Adjutant General of New York during change of responsibility ceremonies at New York National Guard headquarters on Dec. 9. Schirmer took over the position from Chief Warrant Officer 5 Robert Wold who is retiring after more than 40 years in the military.
