The Great American Eclipse of Monday August 21, 2017 begins at 1:22 p.m. and will end at 3:56 p.m. Here in New York we will not see a total eclipse, but the moon will block out more than 50 percent of the Sun. The New York National Guard Safety Office has some tips on how to view the eclipse safely. Remember, staring at the sun unprotected will ruin your eyes!!
