CAMP SMITH-- U.S. Army Sgt. Ashaun Howard a motor transport operator attached to the 719th Transportation Company New York Army National Guard performs last minute checks on Humvees designated for use as part of the Guards response to the winter storms at Camp Smith Training Site N.Y. January 4 2017. The New York National Guard placed 80 Soldiers and Airmen on alert and deployed humvees to New York City to be used by Joint Task Force Empire Shield in preparation for the storm.
