LATHAMThree new chaplains and chaplain candidates joined the New York Army National Guards chaplains corps on March 27. They are, from left, the 1st Lt. Rayna Kavanaugh, from Huntington Station who is an ordained minister for the World Council of Independent Christian Churches, who will be assigned to the 2rd Battalion 142nd Aviation; 2nd Lt. Robyn Putney from Rochester, a first year seminarian from the Evangelical Church Alliance, who will serve as a Chaplain Candidate assigned to the Joint Forces Headquarters; and 2nd Lt. Kevin Orcutt, from Gloversville, a first year seminarian affiliated with the Federated Orthodox Catholic Churches, who will serve as a Chaplain Candidate in the Joint Forces Headquarters.
