COLONIE-- Major General Ray Shields, the Adjutant General of New York, (left) presents the state Conspicuous Service Medal to a members of the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team during a dinner held as part of an event commemorating the 10th anniversary of the brigade's service in Afghanistan on October 20, 2018 at the Desmond Hotel in Colonie, N.Y. by the 27th Division Association. The association also noted the centennial of the units creation and service in World War I.
