Soldiers, Airmen protect Lake Ontario shoreline

New York National Guard Soldiers and Airmen sandbag area of the Lake Ontario shoreline in response to rising lake water levels to protect local houses and property. Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo directed the New York Army and Air National Guard to place 100 service members on duty on May 5 as water levels in the lake rose.
