CAMP GRUBER, Oklahoma--Army Cpl. Joseph Ryan an assistant squad leader with the New York Army National Guards Headquarters and Headquarters Company 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment gets ready for the land navigation portion of the 2019 Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition at Camp Gruber Oklahoma July 16. Ryan was one of fourteen Soldiers competing in the event hoping to be named Army Guard Soldier of the Year. New York Army National Guard Sgt 1st Class Martin Cozens, a member of the 2nd Battalion 108th Infantry was the runner up in the non-commissioned officer category.
