GLENVILLE- Airmen from the 109th Airlift Wing provide funeral honors for New York Air National Guard Staff Sgt. George Girtler on January 31, 2020 at St. Anthony Cemetery, Glenville, N.Y. Girtler, a mechanic in the wing, died of a pulmonary embolism on January 11 while deployed to McMurdo Station, Antarctica with other members of the 109th Airlift Wing. Girtler, age 37,was an aircraft electrical and environmental specialist.
