Matthew Ortiz a member of the New York National Guard's 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry disassembles an M249 Squad Automatic Weapon as part of a weapons proficiency event during the Army National Guard 2020 Best Warrior Competition Sept. 14 2020 being conducted at Camp Shelby. The Best Warrior Competition is a four-day competition that tests competitors Army aptitude through board interviews physical fitness tests written exams warrior tasks and battle drills relevant to todays operational environment.
