WSASHINGTON--Pfc. Aaron Smith left from Pittsford N.Y. and Spc. Jacob R. Dollinger from Clayton N.Y. both infantrymen with the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team 42nd Infantry Division New York Army National Guard stand guard in front of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. Feb. 2 2021. More than 500 citizen-Soldiers from across New York have joined others from across the nation in providing security and support to civil authorities at the nations capital. The National Guard has been requested to continue supporting federal law enforcement agencies with security communications medical evacuation logistics and safety support to state district and federal agencies through mid-March.
