New York National Guard Soldiers, and New York Guard volunteers, assigned to Joint Task Force COVID-19 took time to lay a wreath at a memorial to Revolutionary War Soldier John Jacob "Rifle Jack" Peterson
at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson N.Y. on March 4 2021. "Rifle Jack" Peterson was a Revolutionary War patriot of African and Kitchawan descent whose heroism helped repel British forces in Croton New York. His actions threw Benedict Arnolds treasonous plans into disarray and led to the capture of Major Andre. His heroism inspired the erection of a memorial plaque at Tellers Point Croton.
