NY Soldiers training in Africa

DJIBOUTI--New York Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to the 1st Battaion 69th Infantry Regiment negotiate a climbing obstacle which going through the French Desert Commando Course on Feb. 2 2023 at the Centre Dentrainment Au Combat in Djibouti. Participants who successfully completed the training which was hosted by the hosted by the French 5th Overseas Interarms Regiment received the prestigious desert commando badge. The New Yorkers are deployed to the region as part of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
