CAMP SMITH TRAINING SITE-- New York National Guard Spc. Alexander Bazhenov, a chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear specialist with the 222nd Chemical Company, 104th Military Police Battalion, celebrates a successful iteration on the M17 pistol lane during the 2023 State Best Warrior Competition on Camp Smith, N.Y., April 5, 2023. Bazhenov was one of six soldiers from across the state competing in a variety of soldiering skills. The winners were Sgt. Philip Stevenson and Spc. Adam Crist, both assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 101st Cavalry Regiment.
