UH-60 crew on standby for wildfire

LATHAM-New York State Forest Ranger Lt. Ian Kerr checks out the radio system in a New York Army National Guard UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter at Army Aviation Support Facility #3 in Latham on Saturday, April 15 while on standby to fly a fire suppression mission in support of civilian firefighters in Orange County. Kerr and a flight crew waited at the facility in case they were called upon to help extinguish a wildfire in the town of Blooming Grove. Rainy weather helped contain the fire without calling upon the UH-60 team.
