ORISKANY--Major Matti Adan of the Israeli Homefront Command discusses proper techniques for emplacing a jack in a destroyed building as Staff Sgt. jacking techniques as New York Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Michael Ryan a member of the of the 827th Engineers makes adjustments during training conducted at the New York State Preparedness Training Center in Oriskany New York on July 18 2023. Fifteen Soldiers from the company which is slated to serve as the search and extraction element of the FEMA Region II Homeland Response Force took part in the training alongside members of the Fire Department New York the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and the Missouri National Guard.
