NY Army Guard competes in regional shooting match

CAMP ETHAN ALLENT VERMONT--New York Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Robert J. Lamorte II a combat medic specialist assigned to New York National Guard Joint Force Headquarters fires rifle during the Marksmanship Advisory Council (MAC) Regional match Championship on Camp Ethan Allen Training Site Vermont Aug. 17-21, 2023. The MAC1 provides a combat focused marksmanship sustainment training event and competition for all the states in New England and New York. These matches are the second priority in the Chief of the National Guard Bureaus guidance for sustainment training events. The matches are operational focused marksmanship sustainment exercises designed to validate and sustain perishable marksmanship skills essential to mobilization readiness and success.
