Governor meets with Guard leaders at Harlem Armory

NEW YORK-- New York Governor Kathy Hochul speaks with New York National Guard leaders during a meeting at the 5th Avenue Armory in Harlem on Sept. 25, 2023 prior to a press event at which she announced that 150 more New York National Guard personnel would be added to the ongoing migrant support mission in the city. The New York National Guard currently has just over 1,900 troops on duty in New York City and at hotels in Erie and Monroe counties providing logistical and administrative support to state officials overseeing shelter operations.
