MENADS--Air Force Major General Denise Donnell commander of the New York Air National Guard and Command Chief Master Sgt. Michael Hewson senior enlisted leader for the New York Air National Guard salute after placing a wreath from the White House at the gravesite of President Chester Arthur during a ceremony at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands New York on October 5 2023. Since 1967 military officers have placed a wreath from the current president at the graves of their predecessors on their birthday.
