ELMONT-- New York Air National Guard pararescue jumpers from the 106th Rescue Wing drop the puck at the start of the New York Islanders and Washington Capitals game on Veteran's Day New York Islanders Game at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on November 11, 2023. The Islanders paid tribute to veterans during their game against the Washington Capitals by inviting the 106th Airmen to rappel onto the ice during the national anthem and perform the ceremonial puck drop as the guests of honor with New York Islanders captain Anders Lee and Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin.
