NEW YORK--Air Force Lt. General Marc H. Sasseville, left, the vice chief of staff of the National Guard, joins National Guard Senior Enlisted Advisor Tony Whitehead, join New York National Guard recruits at the Military Entrance Processing Station at Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, in cutting a National Guard Birthday Cake on Dec. 13, 2023. The National Guard claims Dec. 13, 1636 as its birthday. Sasseville and Whitehead were visiting the entrance facility while on a trip to New York City.
