ORCHARD PARK -- New York Air National Guard Staff Sgt. Nathan Wojtkowiak, Tech Sgt. Kevin Pawlukovich and Staff Sgt. Jacob Qualiana, all members of the 107th Attack Wing, pause briefly from keeping entrances clear at a warming station established at the Erie Community South Campus in Orchard Park, New York on January 15, 2024. The New York National Guard activated 132 Soldiers and Airmen in response to a storm that hit the region over the Martin Luther King Day weekend from January 13 to 15. Guard personnel manned three warming stations established to provide stranded and homeless civilians refugee from extreme winter conditions.
