HARLEM-- New York Army National Guard Lt. Col. David Myones deputy commanding officer of the 369th Sustainment Brigade discusses the story behind photos on display at the Harlem Regiment Armory New York N.Y. with the granddaughters of legendary Harlem Hellfighter James Reese Europe - Lynn Europe Cotter Theresa Europe and Patricia Europe Pearson on Feb. 24 2024. Lt. James Reese Europe led the 369th Regiment band during World War I, as well as serving in the front lines, and is credited with introducing jazz music to Europe as the band played across France.
