Signal Soldiers compete in Kuwait

CAMP BUEHRING,Kuwait-- New York Army National Guard SPC Junhee Choi, a member of the 101 Expeditionary Signal Battalion, prepares for the individual weapons qualification using the Engagement Skills Trainer 2000 during the 160th Theater Signal Brigade Best Squad competition at Camp Arifjan Kuwait. Between March 18 and 24, the competitors went through a rigorous gauntlet of tasks and events including the Army combat fitness test individual weapons qualification timed 12-mile ruck march land navigation and a review board to determine the best squad in the brigade. The 101st mission is to provide tactical communications throughout the United States Central Command Area of Operations. The unit is currently spread out across nine countries within the middle east.
