CENTRAL COMMAND AREA--Fourteen New York Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to C Company 101st Expeditionary Signal Battalion who received the Combat Action Badge from Lt. Col. Paul Mulligan the battalion commander during a ceremony conducted in Jordan on April 17 2024 pose for a photograph with company and battalion leaders. The 14 Soldiers were deployed at a location known as Tower 22 on 28 January 2024 when a drone strike killed three U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers and injured 47 other military personnel. The 101st Soldiers are deployed to the Middle East as part of Operation Spartan Shield.
